I’m Sabela García Cuesta, a Spanish multidisciplinary artist based in Hamburg, Germany.
My artwork is far away from calculated meditative lines. I do raw and intuitive art. It is the release of something I have a deep need to express. If you are looking for perfectionism or polite symmetry, you are in the wrong room :) My world exists to invite you to think less and feel more.
My studio is at Fabrik der Künste in Hamburg Hamm. When you step inside, you see what creative freedom looks like. It is a living, ever changing space.

My work focuses on the collective female experience, inspired by my own life journey. Trust me, it has never been boring on my side. I went from living in a 13-people community in Schanze (Hamburg) to being back and forth in Venice Beach, LA. I went from joining a spiritual community to quitting my corporate job to start a wellness company. Even my first trip abroad at 15 was to an Osho ashram in India to visit my uncle. One thing has always led to the next, magically.
My most acclaimed project is my practice of painting women’s breasts. Since 2023, over 250 women have posed for me in multiple countries around the world. This work has been featured in Die Zeit and Harper’s Bazaar, and recently in the Arte Twist documentary "Boobs! Warum Busen zeigen?"
I am hosting my next exhibition in Hamburg in January 2027. I can only accept a limited number of custom pieces before the show opens.

THE WEEKEND ART RESIDENCY
For the first time, I am opening my studio space to work with you. This is a sacred, weekend sanctuary for a tiny group of likeminded curious people. Do not expect a structured workshop with a clear little to-do list. This is your permission to go absolutely all-in. To experiment. To fail beautifully. To make messes that scare you, while feeling completely held by a small collective who get it.
Stop pouring your energy into broad, safe ideas because you're afraid of being misunderstood. The world doesn't need more polite art. It needs your raw, unfiltered truth.
The premium collectors, the dream opportunities, the deep creative breakthroughs. All this doesn't happen because you followed a perfect strategy. They happen the moment you stop waiting for permission.
